Carried my tripod with me to work today, hoping for good conditions for a long exposure at a spot I noticed on the weekend. Conditions weren’t ideal before work, so I passed.
On my trip home, I navigated by the same spot to find very interesting conditions. Heavy cloud cover nearly obliterated the horizon, allowing me to make four exposures. By the third exposure, I had the timing down.
5 minutes and 40 seconds left me with just the rocks
I didn’t end up with the amazing landscape I had hoped for in the morning, but I’m really happy with the long exposure that resulted from a return trip in the evening.
If you are interested in seeing more long exposures shot with the Fuji X-Pro1, go here, here, here, here and here. I am so impressed with the photos that the camera produces and working with Lightroom 4.4 and the VSCO filmpacks creates a beautiful final product.
Gorgeous shot!
Thanks! Conditions were ideal. Low clouds and really even light.
