A long, lazy weekend on Salt Spring Island
In my particular corner of B.C., Summer has been long and appreciably warmer than usual. We aren’t complaining. It has been fantastic.
This weekend we travelled to Salt Spring Island to visit old friends and enjoy what felt like the end of Summer. Along the way we enjoyed the Saturday market, the annual Fall Fair and a last lake swim, before catching the ferry back to real life.
Photos captured with the Fujifilm X100S and X-E2 fronted with an XF56mm f/1.2 lens.
the shadow image is my favorite.
Thank you Chris. When I saw the strong streak of sunlight, I decided to wait around for the goat to position itself, so that I could capture a part of it’s face in the light.
the shadow images is my favorite !
A lovely photo narrative capturing summer’s vibrant colors and bright sunshine, its hours momentarily suspended in slow play.
Thanks Robin. Perhaps my favourite time of year: long shadows, even in the middle of the day.
