November wandering

Too much work, not enough…

I’m a little late posting for November, mostly because of a busy work schedule. Mind you, my work schedule is not that busy, but I did have noticeably fewer days of wandering than in earlier months. That is because November is typically Gala season and I photographed my last gala event two nights ago. There was also a weekend photographing a convention…

I did manage to make photos during a recent storm and a paddle to admire the sea loins that visit our waters at this time of year. There are also a few photos made while wandering, plus a few images from the aforementioned jobs.

I hope to return to more wandering in December…

A note about this image: On a recent portrait assignment, as my subject was ready to start, I fired the first frame and got this!

I forgot to turn on the key light, so she was only illuminated by the rim light. Which, I really like. It’s a good indication that the ambient light was not contributing anything to the overall exposure, which is always good to know. The resulting headshot and an additional portrait are below.
