…would smell as sweet.
It is full on Summer in Victoria. Aside from more tourist, this also means roses are in bloom and we are actually getting some hot weather. Well. Actually. Let me modify that. We are experiencing warmer weather, whereas the rest of the province is suffering through really hot weather. More on that in another post, but back to Summer here.
As tourism is in full blossom and the roses at Government House are as glorious as ever, I am including some images of both, captured over the past few weeks.
NB: images captured with a Fujifilm X-Pro2 fronted with the XF23mm f/2 (tourist) or the XF35mm f/1.4 with the 16mm extension tube (roses).

I usually don’t like flower photos but your imagery is so poetic. Well done!
Thanks Olaf. I like the abstraction of these images. Not much for traditional macro shots with everything in focus.
Great photographs. I think the roses are so ethereal and elegant! How lovely to share those on note cards we could purchase!
Thanks Robin. I really like them too; not sure about the market for note cards though.
I would prefer to see them printed large!
